Balance is Key.
Tuesday, 26 January 2010 23:31

Our bodies were designed to maintain balance dependent on the task at hand.  If we are in a fight or flight response our bodies react accordingly to save us from this situation.  If we are at rest our bodies adjust to the environment and functions accordingly.  But what happens when our bodies don't respond properly to the situation.  What if we are in a fight or flight response when we should be resting?

As you can imagine, when we are stressed, our sympathetic nervous system(flight or flight) kicks in, pumping adrenaline, raising our blood pressure, slowing down our digestive processes and creating tension in our bodies, because we are trying to stay alive from the stimulus.

When there is interference in the nervous system, our bodies are in constant flight or flight response.  We are in overdrive all the time.  This is causing the body to be overworked and fatigued.  This is literally stressing you out!  You must bring balance to the nervous system by removing the interference and allowing the nervous system to reset itself and start doing what it knows how to do.

By removing the stress from the nervous system our bodies can start the process of healing and restoring function to what was lost.  Our bodies have the most amazing healing capabilities, we need to remove the interference and trust it to do its job.

Balance is the key to life.

Trust your body.
Wednesday, 13 January 2010 23:18
Many of us have a hard time trusting our bodies to heal itself.  We have been conditioned to think that when we have a cold, sickness or some sort of dis-ease, that we need to introduce some sort of drug or medicine to assisit our bodies through the healing process.

How different is a cold from a cut on our finger?  We don't have to think or tell our bodies to stop the bleeding and start the process of forming a clot and eventually form new tissue where the cut once was.  Having a cold or flu is exactly the same.  Our bodies produce the fever in order to burn the foreign particles from our bodies.  Then why do we take meds to counteract this process.  In is in effect going against the natural healing processess taking place within us.

When an individual has a hard time fightiing off the infection is it a sign of dysfunction in the body.  There is a lack of communication between the brain and body and this is causing the individual to be less than optimal at fighting the dis-ease.  Restoring communication between the brain and body, increases the function of the immune system so that the individual will either at times not feel the symtptoms of the infection or may recover faster if they are sick.

Increasing the function of the nervous system increases function in all systems whether it is the immune system, cardiovascular system, digestive, respiration and biomechanics.
